Our soil

THE DOMAIN LA GRANGETTE is located on a set of limestone grounds, coming from marl and sandstone "garrigues", and grounds made of conglomerates of medium to strong stones. La topographie est tourmentée et accidentée.

     The succession of marl and limestone deposits from lakes and seas, disrupted during the last earthquake in Languedoc, underwent rain's erosion during several million years and worked the grounds. Broad marl furrows alternate with conglomerates, limestone and sloping sandstone.

Our range

     After some difficult years of biological culturere the Domain remains in reasoned culture (respect of auxiliary fauna and natural flora), with natural fertilization and mecanic work of the soil.
Nowadays, the domain extends on fifty hectares including twenty-five classified in AOC Picpoul de Pinet and twenty-five in VDP d'Oc.
